The folk dance Bawangbian (also known as Yangko stick, Jinqian stick, and its performance is called Dalianxiang) has been popular in Houxi Village, Anhua Town. It was still popular among the people when the People's Republic of China was founded. Since then, the folk dance "Bawangbian" has gradually declined, become rare, and even forgotten. When the folk dance "Bawangbian" was on the verge of being lost, the Houxi Village Elderly Association of Anhua Town promptly rescued it and cooperated with the traffic police to carry out traffic safety publicity based on this dance form, achieving good social benefits. The folk dance performance form of "Bawangbian" is suitable for men, women, young and old, with no limit on the number of people, and can be performed by one or two people, especially in groups. During the formal performance, the dancers must dress up, with different styles for men and women, wearing colorful crowns or jewelry, ancient dance costumes, colorful ribbons around their waists, and colorful shoes on their feet. They hold flower sticks (Bawang sticks, Lianxiang) in their hands, either single or double. They wave the Bawang whip to make a pleasant crisp sound, while singing, accompanied by stringed instruments. The movements and formations are neat and varied, and the dancers often wave the flower sticks and change formations in 274 and 44 beats. After the performance, they pose together and congratulate each other. In November 2008, it was included in the second batch of Shaoxing City's intangible cultural heritage list.
