The folk dance "Double Dragons Playing with Pearls" originated from Tangshan Village, Tangshan Town, Qingshan Lake District, Nanchang. In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, villagers made dragons out of oil paper, and later changed to bench dragons. During the Guangxu period, it developed into cloth dragons and festival dragons, which were performed by Tangshan Village, Tangshan Town and Jinshun Village, Hufang Town. The folk dance "Double Dragons Playing with Pearls" was formed on the basis of the dragon dance "Dragon Playing with Pearls" in Tangshan Village. "Double Dragons Playing with Pearls" is composed of two nine-section dragons and 16 Shui girls. The whole program consists of 14 main movements, including double dragons leaving the palace, double dragons playing in the water, double dragons playing with pearls, and golden dragons dancing wildly, accompanied by percussion music. In 1985, the "Double Dragons Playing with Pearls" performed by Tangshan Village was shown to the people of the whole country in the CCTV Spring Festival special program. In 2007, "Double Dragons Playing with Pearls" represented Jiangxi Province in the "Dragon Dance in Peace" Chinese Classic Dragon Dance Exhibition held in Hai'an, Jiangsu, and won the gold medal.
