Chaoyang Folk Yangko
The folk dances in Chaoyang County have a long history and various forms. Among them, "Ye Bachu" is named after the eight groups of folk dances performed during the Yangko Festival. The main style is the eight plays played, wearing masks, and winning with a fresh look. It pays more attention to the routines and procedures of the movements, and has strict requirements for everyone's identity and movements. Other characteristic Yangko in Chaoyang County include "Running Donkey", "Bawang Whip", "Lamerian Plum Blossom", "Imperial Meeting", "Liangge", "Yellow River Formation" and dozens of other types. This form of folk dance has a history of more than 150 years. It is a very small stilt, which is a combination of Manchu and Han Yangko forms. Unlike other stilts, this stilt performance is accompanied by stringed music, and the instruments used are flute, banhu, erhu, etc. In the brisk music, the performance of the Xiyingzi team of Mutouchengzi Town is light, clever, and generous; coupled with the Bawang Whip in their hands, the strong local flavor makes the audience amazed. Shaokou stilts Yangko has a long history. The earliest form of stilts was a kind of performance. The highest stilts of Yangko are more than five feet high, and there are fishermen, woodcutters, farmers, ditchmen, bean and millet sellers and other occupations. Since its formation, Yangko has gone through hundreds of years of vicissitudes, and most of them have changed. However, the Shaokou Village of Shuangta, Chaoyang City still retains the original form of Yangko on stilts. The movements are simple and quaint, accompanied by four-hand gongs and four waist drums, and the rhythm is slow and stretched. It can be called a living fossil of my country's folk dance. In addition, there are Chaoyang embroidery, Chaoyang velvet embroidery, hand-woven, purple sand products, woodblock New Year paintings, hemp cloth, Errenzhuan, Diyangko, shadow play and other folk arts, which have become a new tourist attraction.
