Liuyuan Xiangyin Drum Festival is the traditional music of Tianjin. It was established during the reign of Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty and participated in various folk festivals in the late Qing Dynasty. It was originally a drum festival for the "goddess" in the temple when they went out for a tour. In front was the guard of honor, which consisted of the front color and the band, and was directed by the gong. The front color was the formation of daily necessities that people were warned to avoid and carry with them when the goddess went out for a tour, including two gate flags, high-light, soft pairs, hard pairs, lantern boards, round cages, octagonal boxes, suitcases, tea barrels, tea stoves, wind lanterns, etc. Behind were drums, cymbals, cymbals, cymbals, clangs, big pictures, nine lotus lanterns, etc. There were 40 people holding hand flags to maintain the program, and 30 teenagers carrying stools for the performers to use when playing long songs. As a kind of folk music, the costumes and props of this festival are well preserved. Xiangyin Drum Festival originally had ten sets of songbooks, and now five sets are preserved. In the first month of the lunar calendar, the heads of various flower fairs negotiate and hold courteous mutual worships with the theme of celebrating the harvest and the New Year. Then, on the third day of the third month of each year, when the goddess goes out for a tour, several flower fairs gather in Beicang. Xiangyin Dharma Drum is a royal fair, so it is arranged to the left and right of the goddess's treasure chariot, set up and perform. During the flower fair performance, Xiangyin Dharma Drum's unique group of colored lanterns is beautifully displayed in front of the masses, forming a magnificent landscape of a long dragon of colored lanterns. Liuyuan Xiangyin Dharma Drum Fair is magnificent and spectacular, with the most rich cultural characteristics. It is a traditional folk cultural relic that has been carefully maintained and passed on by generations to this day, allowing traditional art to serve modern society and enrich the amateur cultural life of the masses. In 1951, it won the first prize in the folk flower fair performance held in Tianjin, and won the second prize in the Jingu Flower Fair Competition in 1986. After the 1990s, it participated in the recording and celebration activities of the city's radio and television stations many times.
