Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens
The Royal Exhibition Building and its surrounding Carlton Gardens were designed for the great International Exhibitions held in Melbourne in 1880 and 1888. The building and grounds were designed by Joseph Reid. The building is constructed of brick and timber, steel and stone. It incorporates elements of Byzantine, Romanesque, Lombard and Italian Renaissance styles. The building is typical of the International Exposition movement, which saw more than 50 exhibitions held between 1851 and 1915 in places such as Paris, New York, Vienna, Calcutta, Kingston (Jamaica) and Santiago (Chile). All the expositions had a common theme and aim: to record material and moral progress by showcasing the industries of nations.
Ceramic Culture Tourism Expo Park
Tangshan Ceramic Culture Expo Park is Tangshan's first professional high-end ceramic art theme market that integrates ceramic culture display, appreciation, exchange and promotion, boutique tourism shopping and other elements. It is located in the lobby of the North Hall of Tangshan International Convention and Exhibition Center. The first phase covers an area of 2,000 square meters and is mainly composed of three parts: a ceramic tourism product exhibition and sales center, a tourist restaurant and a dynamic cultural cinema.
World Expo Huaming Pavilion
A national 3A-level tourist attraction. In 2008, Huaming Demonstration Town stood out from 108 projects in 87 cities around the world and was selected as the only case reflecting rural urbanization, and successfully participated in the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. As an urban best practice area, Huaming Pavilion shows the world the small town construction model of Huaming. The new exhibition hall covers an area of about 1,789.67 square meters. It uses modern scientific and technological means such as sound, light, and electricity, and adopts graphic descriptions, model displays, computer demonstrations, and film and television interactions to focus on promoting and displaying the history of Huaming Demonstration Town and the great achievements made in the construction of Huaming Demonstration Town and the great changes in the urban appearance since the pilot reform of homestead exchange for housing, and to display the urban characteristics of Huaming Demonstration Town and the urban form with rich cultural and natural landscapes, as well as the grand blueprint of Huaming Demonstration Town.
CITIC Guoan First City
CITIC Guoan First City is a large-scale comprehensive exhibition center that integrates conference and exhibition, tourism, leisure and vacation, entertainment and fitness, food shopping, film and television shooting and other functions. It is located in the golden area at the junction of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei - Hebei Xianghe Economic and Technological Development Zone, 52 kilometers from the center of Beijing and 70 kilometers from the center of Tianjin. It covers a total area of 3,320 acres and has a total investment of more than 6 billion yuan. First City has more than 3,000 guest rooms (suites), 18 flavor restaurants, and more than 100 conference halls (rooms). The accommodation capacity is more than 4,000 people, the catering reception capacity is more than 11,200 people, and the conference capacity is more than 10,000 people. The indoor area for holding exhibition activities is 37,000 square meters. It is one of the largest comprehensive international conference and resort hotels in China so far. Many party and state leaders have visited CITIC Guoan First City for inspection or attended various meetings. Many foreign leaders and more than 300 ambassadors to China have visited First City. Important meetings such as the Seventh G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in October 2005, the First Annual Meeting of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Agencies in October 2006, and the Third China-US Strategic Economic Dialogue in December 2007 were all successfully held here.
