Baxianshan National Nature Reserve
Baxian Mountain, a national AAA-level scenic spot, is a national nature reserve, one of the first national popular science education bases, and one of the first national forestry demonstration nature reserves. It has a total area of 5,360 hectares and a forest coverage rate of more than 95%. It is the highest, most ecologically superior, and most abundant natural reserve in Tianjin. It is a natural "geological museum", "botanical garden", and "forest oxygen warehouse". It is said that the Eight Immortals passed by this place when they crossed the sea. They were attracted by the strange peaks and beautiful waters, the forest sea and the secluded valleys, and they sent down auspicious clouds to have a picnic and rest in the mountains. "Baxian Mountain" got its name from this. There are precious Archean and Proterozoic geological relics and wonders here, and the natural secondary forests still retain the characteristics of the original forest vegetation. Jietai Temple
Jietai Temple is a national key cultural relic protection unit, a national AAAA-level scenic spot, a scenic spot in Beijing, and a religious activity site. The temple is located on Ma'an Mountain in Mentougou District, Beijing, 35 kilometers away from the capital. It has a long history, a large scale, majestic temples and beautiful scenery. Jietai Temple was built during the Kaihuang period of the Sui Dynasty (581-600 AD), and has a history of more than 1,400 years. Formerly known as Huiju Temple, Emperor Yingzong of the Ming Dynasty named it "Wanshou Zen Temple". Because the temple has the largest Buddhist ordination platform in the country and can grant the highest Buddhist precepts - Bodhisattva precepts, it has the reputation of "the first platform in the world". The temple faces east and sits west, with an altitude of more than 300 meters, covering an area of 4.4 hectares and a construction area of 8,392 square meters. The halls are built in a staggered manner with the height of the mountain. The architecture is mainly in the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with many architectural features of the Liao Dynasty. It is one of the ancient building complexes in Beijing that retains the most Liao and Jin styles and relics. Jietai Temple has long been famous for its "ordination platform and strange pines". There is a poem praising it: "Tanzhe is famous for its springs, and Jietai is famous for its pines. From afar, you can see the green shadows and hear the sound of waves. Everyone knows each other when they enter the door, and they look up and down as if they are welcoming each other. Each tree has its own style, cleverly competing with the creation." The ancient lilac and ancient peony in Jietai Temple were bestowed by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, and the age of the flowers is as old as 200 years. The temple has both the majestic momentum of northern temples and the quiet and elegant interest of Jiangnan gardens. It is not only a famous temple of Chinese Buddhism, but also a long-standing tourist destination.
Miaofeng Mountain Scenic Area
One of the famous mountains in Beijing, a tourist attraction in the suburbs of Beijing, the district is located in Mentougou District in the west of Beijing, and is the boundary mountain between Mentougou District and Changping County. It belongs to the remnant of Taihang Mountain. It is located more than 30 kilometers northwest of Beijing and 55 kilometers from the urban area. From the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, a grand temple fair was held from the first to the fifteenth day of the fourth lunar month every year, and the mountain became famous because of it. The temple was destroyed during the Anti-Japanese War, and the temple fair declined. Today, it is still famous for the beauty of natural scenery, especially the scenery of Shannan Yingtao Valley. There are many roses in the nearby streams. Now it is a key greening area in the city. The long-renowned Miaofeng Mountain Niangniang Temple was first built in the Liao Dynasty. The three temple complexes (Linggan Palace, Huixiang Pavilion, and Yuhuangding) are built on the mountain, with 14 temples dedicated to Taoism, Confucianism, Buddhism, and secular gods. It was the center of public belief in North China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Fo Guang Shan Cultural Tourism Area
Fo Guang Shan Tourist Scenic Area is located in Baishuzhuang Village, Beiye Township, Pingshan County, Hebei Province. The scenic area is full of mountains, strange peaks, long cliffs, flying springs and waterfalls, deep valleys, thousands of ravines competing for streams, dense forests blocking the sun, birds singing and beasts galloping. It is an original ecological scenic spot that integrates karst landforms and primitive secondary forests. There are more than 100 scenic spots, especially the open-air caves in the thousand-meter cliff plank road formed by the underwater world for billions of years. The caves are full of colorful and bizarre stalactites. They are praised by geologists as "natural galleries" and "the longest aerial corridor in Taihang Mountains". With Qiyun waterfalls, strange rocks and caves, it is a rare masterpiece. The Buddhist relics such as Luohan Hall, Cibei Pavilion, Jigong Cave, and Retreat Cave are vivid and fascinating. Many scenic spots such as Red River Valley, Echo Wall, Tianshu Stone, Shanshan Pavilion, Flying Stone, Hundred-meter Water Curtain, Line of Sky, Ganoderma Cliff, Pine Vine Garden, Yinyang Spring, Millennium Chestnut Garden, Ecological Manor Resort, etc. are dotted in the mountains, which are fascinating. North Wudang Mountain
Beiwudang Mountain is located in the western mountainous area of Shahe City, Xingtai City, Hebei Province. The main peak is 1,437.3 meters above sea level, commonly known as "Laoye Mountain". The "Shunde Prefecture Chronicle" records: Beiwudang Mountain is 120 miles west of the prefecture. There is a Temple of Xuantian God on it, also known as Xiaowudang, and next to it are Qinglong Mountain and Baihu Mountain. It is 60 kilometers away from Shahe City and is a key scenic spot in Hebei Province. Beiwudang Mountain Scenic Spot was rated as a provincial scenic spot in 1992 and a national 2A scenic spot in 2008. Galaxy Cave
