Beijing Yunfeng Mountain Scenic Area is a resort-style scenic area located on the north bank of Beijing Miyun Reservoir. It was established in 1998. It was built by Taiwanese businessmen in the early days for the purpose of restoring the ancient monument Chaosheng Temple. In order to promote local economic development and create jobs for local residents, Beijing Yunfeng Mountain Tourism Development Co., Ltd., registered and invested by Taiwanese businessmen, established Beijing Yunfeng Mountain Scenic Area with the advice and support of the government and opened in September 2006. The scenic area has 550 acres of forest, 10 acres of lavender, a thousand-year-old temple, 21 fairy-tale tree houses, many cliff-carved ancient roads and natural landscape trails, English gardens, healthy vegetarian food and desserts, and rich forest courses. Over the years, the scenic area has been operating, paying more attention to natural protection and ecological development. After years of protection and restoration, the species of plants and animals in the scenic area are becoming more and more abundant, allowing tourists to contact and understand nature.
