Qinhuangdao Wildlife Park
Qinhuangdao Wildlife Park is located at 39 degrees 52 minutes north latitude and 119 degrees 32 minutes east longitude. It is located in the world-famous tourist resort Beidaihe Scenic Area, facing the vast Bohai Bay to the east, the famous Beidaihe scenic spot Pigeon Nest to the south, the Jingshan Railway to the west, and the Asian Games Village to the north. It is a must-go place for Qinhuangdao's north-south tourist route. Qinhuangdao Wildlife Park was built in 1995. It is the second largest wildlife park in my country after Shenzhen Wildlife Park. It is affiliated to the Qinhuangdao Forestry Bureau and is located in the world-famous Beidaihe Scenic Area. It is located in the Seaside National Forest Park surrounded by green trees, golden sands and blue seas. It covers an area of more than 5,000 acres. It is currently the wildlife park with the largest planned area, the highest forest coverage rate and the most beautiful environment in my country's cities. It is a large-scale comprehensive wildlife theme park integrating animal viewing, entertainment and leisure, popular science propaganda, animal research and animal protection.
Beidaihe Museum
Located on the coast of Bohai Sea, Beidaihe Museum is an art museum that mainly collects ancient artworks. It is located in the prime location of Beidaihe Scenic Area, a summer resort known as China's "Summer Capital". It was rebuilt on the basis of the "Qin Emperor's Palace" scenic spot that imitated the Qin and Han Dynasty architecture. It covers an area of 12,000 square meters and has a construction area of nearly 4,000 square meters.
Biluo Tower Sea Bar Park
Beidaihe Biluo Tower Sea Bar Park is located in Xiaodongshan, Beidaihe Seaside. The main building, Biluo Tower, is the highest point in the Dongshan area of the seaside. It is a unique conch-shaped spiral sightseeing tower in the world. It is surrounded by the sea on three sides and has beautiful scenery. Climbing the tower and looking out, you can see the vast sea, which makes you feel relaxed and happy; watching the sunrise in the morning and the bonfire in the evening, it is a joyful experience. The park was designated as a sea fishing base and a beach bonfire base by the Beidaihe District Tourism Bureau. A diving yacht club has also been established. The unique sea seafood stalls, sea disco, sky bar street, beach bonfire and other leisure and entertainment projects will leave you with unforgettable memories. The Bavarian Sea Beer Garden allows you to drink to your heart's content, the Sea Performance Bar creates a live concert atmosphere for you, and the Sea Disco allows you to fully release the pressure of past life, work troubles, and emotional repression. All are absorbed by the sea, allowing you to have fun until midnight! The unique Hawaiian-style bonfire party is held every night on the beach of Biluo Tower Bar Park. Tiger Rock Marine Park
The huge rocks in Tiger Stone Park extend into the sea, shaped like a group of tigers squatting, hence the name Tiger Stone. Tiger Stone Bathing Beach is the central bathing beach on the Beidaihe coast. It has a wide beach and sea, a gentle slope into the sea, and good water quality, making it the bathing beach with the largest number of sea bathers during the summer vacation. There is also a large entertainment park here, which has sea paragliding, windsurfing, surfing boards, children's playgrounds, etc. It is currently the largest comprehensive marine park in China.
Strange Buildings and Gardens
There was a strange building in Beidaihe, which is one of the 24 scenic spots in Beidaihe. The founder of the strange building, Simpson, was a Californian in the United States. He was born in 1898 and graduated from the famous Yale University in the United States with a doctorate in forestry specializing in horticulture. In 1928, he was sent by the Methodist Episcopal Church of the United States to the Beidaihe Seaside and founded the Dongshan Horticultural Farm. He worked and lived in Beidaihe for 12 years. During this period, he introduced more than 20 kinds of excellent fruit trees such as apples, grapes, plums, and cherries, introduced excellent poultry and livestock such as Dutch dairy cows, Yorkshire pigs, and Leghorn chickens, and introduced and promoted the pioneer shrubs of greening in North China - Amorpha fruticosa. Simpson established a deep friendship with farmers and intellectuals in the Beidaihe area. He was an envoy of Sino-US friendship, a mentor of science and technology, and the founder of modern horticulture in Beidaihe. In 1936, Simpson designed a villa with a very strange appearance from the exterior to the internal structure, which was built by local architect Su Quanren. Simpson's villa is a European Gothic building. It has three floors, five roofs, seven corners and eight sides. Every corner of the roof is made of granite with pointed walls that reach up to the sky. It looks very beautiful. There are 44 doors and 46 windows in the whole building, but not a single square room. Inside the villa, there are rooms within rooms, large and small, connected to each other. If a stranger comes in, it will be difficult to find the door he just came in after turning three or two. Walking into the middle hall, there are large glass mirrors all around. Standing in the middle, there are shadows everywhere. Turning around, it is difficult to find the door to go out. There is a well in the middle of the basement. Around the wellhead, a spiral staircase is built, connecting the upper and lower parts. This well has become a natural regulator of temperature and humidity in the villa: it is used to lower the temperature in summer and increase the humidity in winter; this staircase is made of rattan and fruit tree branches. Walking up it, it flickers, is soft and trembling, which is really interesting. This bizarre villa was soon built and quickly earned the reputation of "Strange Building". In 1940, on the eve of the outbreak of the Pacific War, Dr. Simpson returned to the United States, and his "Strange Building" became even more famous. The "strange" reputation spread far and wide, becoming a magnificent and mysterious landscape in Beidaihe, attracting many tourists to come and appreciate and inspect. During the Cultural Revolution, the Strange Building was forcibly demolished. Today's Strange Building and Garden was redesigned and rebuilt in 1991 based on the architectural style of the original Strange Building. The name of the garden was written by Hua Junwu, a famous cartoonist in my country. It covers an area of 110.8 acres and the building area of the building is 999 square meters. It inherits the essence of history, draws on the strengths of the attractions inside and outside the garden, and combines new ideas of strangeness and weirdness, with a total of 99 strange and weird scenes. Inside the strange building, there are rock waterfalls, corridors and rope bridges, multiple doors and rooms, which make it difficult to distinguish between the real and the fake; there are monsters with human bodies, visitors from outer space, huge stone lampshades, beauties playing in the water; the crystal palace is crystal clear; there is fate in the mirror..., it is really incredible; in the strange garden, there are green pines and cypresses, shady trees, blooming flowers, singing birds, cascading water and springs, secret passages... In this psychedelic and colorful world, the feeling of being both real and illusory is always with you, as if you are in a colorful fairy tale world.
Lianfengshan Park
Lianfeng Mountain Park, also known as Lianpeng Mountain Park, is located west of the center of Beidaihe Beach, 5 kilometers from east to west along the sea. It is divided into East Lianfeng Mountain, Middle Lianfeng Mountain and West Lianfeng Mountain. This mountain was built into the largest forest park in Beidaihe in 1919. It is characterized by mountaineering and exploring the forest. The original topography and vegetation are well preserved. There are three peaks covered with pine forests in the park. Because the mountains are connected, they are called Lianfeng. From a distance, they look like lotus pods, so they are also called Lianpeng Mountain. The highest peak, Donglianfeng Mountain, is 153 meters above sea level and is the commanding height of Beidaihe. Tourists mainly go to Donglianfeng Mountain for sightseeing. There is a sea-viewing pavilion on the top of the mountain. Climbing the pavilion and looking out, you can see the beautiful scenery of Beidaihe Beach.
