The scenic area is 6 kilometers long, covers an area of 12 square kilometers, and has more than 50 landscapes of various sizes. The five major characteristics of Shilinxia, stone, gorge, water, peaks, and forests, constitute a unique landscape with their own merits. Shilinxia Scenic Area has a different scene at every step, which is full of wonders. In addition to the stone forest landscape, there are also "five major landscapes" that are widely praised. The first is the Jiutian Waterfall, a rare four-level waterfall with a total drop of more than 120 meters. It is magnificent and majestic. The waterfall cascades down like a silver chain or broken jade, making people stop and forget to leave. Its sound is endless in the valley and has been spread far and wide. The second is the Lingtan Lianzhu. There are more than ten green pools in the valley. The water is inexhaustible in all seasons. Some are clear enough to watch fish, some are unfathomable, some are as quiet as a virgin, and some are rippling, like a string of beautiful beads, adding endless beauty to the scenic area. The third is the dangerous and deep gorge. The Shilin Gorge is 12 miles long, deep and narrow, with the narrowest part being only more than 3 meters, like a thread opened in the sky. Walking under it is surprising, and you will feel the cold wind blowing on your face, chilling you to the bone. Fourth, the wonder of huge rocks. There are huge rocks all over Shilin Gorge, some of which weigh more than 1,000 tons. These huge rocks are either erected on high cliffs, which makes people tremble with fear, or stand on slopes, which make people suspect that they are about to fall, or lie on the bottom of the valley like a cow or a giant rhinoceros, lying in the middle of the road, and sitting on them is full of fun; Fifth, there are cypresses hanging on the cliffs. The cliffs in Shilin Gorge are high and steep, and countless cypresses and other tree species grow on the high cliffs. The trunks of the trees pierce out obliquely on the cliffs, and the roots of the trees cling to the cliffs. No matter how windy or rainy they are, they can't do anything to them, which is amazing. Shilin Gorge has dense vegetation, fresh air, and cool and pleasant weather. It is an excellent place for tourism, vacation, sightseeing, and self-cultivation.
