Amphitheatre of El Jem
Located in the small village of El Jem, the remains of North Africa's largest Colosseum were a massive amphitheater that could seat up to 35,000 spectators. This 3rd-century monument showcases the grandeur and vastness of the Roman Empire.
Xinglong Park
Xinglong Park (formerly known as Xinglong Forest) was first built on February 22, 1992 and completed in December 1995. It covers a total area of 780 mu, with 9,360 square meters of roads in the park, eight hills, and a 45-mu artificial lake. The total investment is about 30 million yuan. Through planning, many scenic spots have been formed. The small lake has winding water and secluded scenery. The white jade stone bridge on the lake has become a central landscape. There is a waterside pavilion on the west side of the lake, an octagonal double-eaved pavilion on the south side of the mountain, and a moon-viewing pavilion on the north side of the lake. The initial Xinglong Forest was built. So far, the park has a history of 13 years. There are more than 81,000 trees and shrubs in the park, and various leisure and entertainment facilities have been built. In March 2002, it was approved as a first-level park in Beijing by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Landscape Architecture.
Yandong Ecological Tourist Park
Yandong Ecological Tourist Park covers an area of 3,000 acres and has an investment of more than 30 million yuan. It is located in the north of Jidong Cement Plant, Fengrun District, Tangshan City. It is located at the intersection of the four major cities of Beijing, Tianjin, Tangshan and Qinhuangdao. It has unique location advantages. It is 15 kilometers away from National Highway 205 leading to major cities in the south and only 5 kilometers away from National Highway 102 (including Beijing-Shenyang Expressway) leading to various provinces in the northeast. It is close to Fengdong Highway and relies on tourist attractions such as Juxian Valley, Panjiayu Memorial Hall, and Mengniu Dairy Tangshan Fengrun Branch. Bus No. 31 goes directly to the entrance of the ecological park, with convenient transportation and beautiful environment.
