Gaoqiaohui (Hulufa Village) is a Fangshan District-level intangible cultural heritage protection unit. Gaoqiao performance has a long history in Hulufa Village. It is the most traditional cultural characteristic, the most influential and the most cohesive mass spontaneous cultural activity in the village. This performance has a history of more than 100 years. Before liberation, it was active in the Beijing, Liangxiang, Fangshan, Changxindian, Daxing Huangcun area; in the 1980s, it was performed many times in Longtan Lake, Niujie and other places in Beijing, and it received high praise at that time; in recent years, it has successively participated in various flower show performances held in Fangshan District, and has received the highest attention among all performance teams and is deeply loved by the masses. The stilt performances in Hulufa Village are divided into "civil stilts" and "martial stilts". The civil stilts focus on acting as elephants (painting various classical characters such as Wu Song, Shi Qian, Jianghu doctor, fisherman, fisherman, firewood collector, etc.) and twisting, while the martial stilts emphasize personal skills and tricks. The stilt performances in Hulufa include not only the "heguai" (both parties jump on one foot while the other stilt leg is folded and climbed up, and they attack each other with their knees. There are many ways to attack, such as knocking, pressing, pushing, and smashing. During the fair, big businesses along the way set up eight-immortal tables in front of their doors, put out tea and snacks, and set off firecrackers to express their gratitude for their hard work. The stilt team will stay here for a while, or perform a thank you performance. There is also a rule that if the stilts will stop at someone's house and perform, that person's business will surely be prosperous. The Hulufa stilt fair has important historical value; it also has extremely high cultural value because of its special entertainment and appreciation, and the spontaneous participation of the masses. It combines many arts such as folk dance, acrobatics, martial arts, and drama. The performers have superb skills and the performances are varied. It is a unique skill worthy of research and inheritance, and has high artistic value.
