The legend of Huangshigong in Pizhou is a folk literature project in the second batch of representative projects of Xuzhou's municipal intangible cultural heritage. There are also many literati who have published the legends in newspapers and magazines, such as Geng Xin in the Liang Dynasty, Li Bai in the Tang Dynasty, Su Shi in the Song Dynasty, Fu Ruojin in the Yuan Dynasty, and Xia Yin in the Ming Dynasty. Huangshi Gong has aroused the research and discussion of literary and historical scholars at home and abroad, making the spread of Huangshi Gong legend more extensive. Huangshi Gong legend is mainly based on Huangshi Gong. The legend is closely related to Huangshi Gong Temple, Huangshi Mountain, Zhang Liang, Aunt, and the surrounding mountain gods, river gods, and geographical environment. The content mostly shows that Huangshi Gong eliminates harm for the people, spreads blessings for the people, promotes good and helps the poor, saves the dying and the wounded, and upholds justice. The image of the god with great magical powers expresses people's prayers and sustenance for Huangshi Gong, the god of salvation. It is rich in content, has a long history, is moderate in length, and has easy-to-understand language. It has strong vitality, communication appeal and artistic appeal. There are nearly 100 legends of Huangshi Gong, which are still widely spread in Pizhou and surrounding cities and counties. The legend of Huangshi Gong in Pizhou has regional characteristics, mostly uses dialects, and is mainly spread orally and recorded in writing by folk inheritors.
