Emeishan Buddhist music is a component of my country's religious music and an important part of Emeishan folk music. Emeishan Buddhist music is collectively completed by monks in Buddhist activities. In Buddhist activities, there is often a small band composed of monks to accompany. Since the early 1950s, music workers in Mount Emei have begun to collect and organize the Buddhist music of Mount Emei, and on this basis, they have studied and verified the origins of the Buddhist music of Mount Emei. In 1954, the Sichuan Provincial Music Working Group came to Mount Emei to collect and record the Buddhist music of Mount Emei. The Buddhist music of Mount Emei carries history and the Zen enlightenment of the monks and nuns of Mount Emei on the Buddha's will. It is the musical embodiment of the spiritual and cultural life of the monks and nuns of Mount Emei. It has important historical value and high musical value for the study of Chinese Buddhist culture and the study of Emei, and has indispensable research and reference value for promoting national culture and developing and building Emei.
