Rattan weaving generally goes through more than a dozen processes such as beating rattan, picking rattan, washing rattan, drying rattan, bending rattan, pulling rattan, cutting rattan, bleaching, dyeing, weaving, and painting. Rattan weaving is mainly made of rattan branches, rattan cores or bamboo as the skeleton, and then woven with rattan skin or young rattan cores, giving full play to the characteristics of rattan being soft and not easy to break. In terms of color, most of them use the light yellow color of the original rattan, or process and bleach it into white or ivory, which looks soft and elegant. Some are matched with coffee color, brown, etc. Rattan furniture uses thick rattan as the skeleton, nailed frame, and then woven with rattan skin and rattan core, and finally painted or colored. Hanzhong is a well-known "rattan weaving town". Rattan is rich in rattan. It has a tough texture, bright color, smooth feel, and excellent elasticity. It is a good natural weaving material. The rattan chairs, rattan boxes and other daily utensils woven by Hanzhong people are exquisitely crafted and diverse in variety. They do not feel luxurious when placed in a cold room, nor do they feel shabby when placed in a luxurious hall. They have been selling well from ancient times to the present.
