Bao Family Boxing
Baojiaquan in Daxiqiao Town is a martial art passed down from generation to generation by the villagers of Baojiatun. It originated before the Tang Dynasty and has a longer history than the famous "Shaolin Boxing". According to the "Anhui Huizhou Prefecture Records", during the Taikang period of the Jin Dynasty (280-289), Bao Shenli, the guard of Chang'an, brought Baojiaquan from the north to Shexian County, Anhui. In the second year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1369), Bao Fubao, the ancestor of the Bao family in Baojiatun, followed Zhu Yuanzhang's order to "adjust the north and conquer the south" and went on an expedition to Guizhou. He brought Baojiaquan from Shexian County, Huizhou Prefecture, Anhui to Anshun, Guizhou. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.) (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
