The Zanyang gongs and drums, which are comparable to the Shaanxi drums, are also called battlefield gongs and drums. They are one of the historical cultures of ancient Zanyang. Originated in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period 500 years ago, it is one of the oldest and longest-standing traditional gongs and drums in my country, with a history of more than 2,500 years. 2,500 years ago, there were frequent wars in ancient Lingyang. In order to boost morale and defeat the enemy, gongs and drums were used in front of the battlefield. The number of gongs and drums and the size of the drums directly affected the morale of the army. The famous "Cao Gui's Discussion on War" shows that gongs and drums can lead to victory or defeat in war. Later, after the battlefield use of ancient military strategists Sun Wu and Wu Zixu, the Chu-Han War and the continuous evolution of the people, a self-contained system with a certain style of Zanyang gongs and drums was formed, which was practiced by more than a hundred people. Zanyang gongs and drums are simple, elegant, majestic, and solemn. The drum beats are light as a float, heavy as thunder, fast as wind, and urgent as rain, with just the right amount of emphasis. But after the Yuan Dynasty, it gradually declined and fell silent. The Zanyang Office in Laohekou City, Hubei Province is the site of ancient Zanyang and the birthplace of Zanyang gongs and drums. It has a rich cultural heritage. Zan County was established in the Qin Dynasty. Xiao He, a famous prime minister in the early Han Dynasty, was granted the title of Zanhou by Liu Bang. It is also the hometown of Wu Zixu, a general of Chu and Wu in the Spring and Autumn Period, and the residence of Ouyang Xiu, a great writer in the Song Dynasty. It has a superior geographical location and is located at the key point of Hubei, Henan, Sichuan and Shaanxi. It is known as the "key road to Xiangyun and the thoroughfare between Qin and Chu". The Handan Railway, Xiangyu Railway, and National Highway 316 and 207 pass through the territory. There is the Wangfu Hydropower Station, the largest low-head power station in Asia, the 42-square-kilometer Pear Blossom Lake with clear water, and the Wangfuzhou Ten Thousand Mu Pear Garden, which enjoys the reputation of "Hubei Ecological Agriculture Demonstration Base", which is also the main viewing area of Laohekou City for five consecutive "Pear Blossom Festivals" since 2000. In recent years, the office has vigorously developed tourism resources, and Zanyang has become a shining pearl in the two tourist hotlines of ancient Jingzhou, ancient Longzhong, ancient Zanyang, Wudang Mountain, Shennongjia, and the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, Wangfuzhou Hydropower Station, Danjiangkou Reservoir, and is favored by tourists. According to Liu Chuangang, 1 of the office, in order to promote the ancient culture of the Chinese nation, inspire the high-spirited spirit of the 120,000 people in the office, and add a beautiful scenery to the tourist hotline, Laohekou City and the office jointly invested 200,000 yuan to deeply develop Zanyang gongs and drums, a cultural treasure of the Chinese nation. After multiple collections and sorting, the ancient score of Zanyang gongs and drums is divided into three movements. The first movement, "Chu and Han fight for the world, and the Chu songs rise from all sides", has urgent drum beats and strong rhythm, creating an atmosphere of fierce scenes and pressing situations; the second movement, "Beacon fires to tease the princes, guarding the border to convey military information", has light drum beats and slow rhythm, setting off fireworks, blowing horns, beating war drums, welcoming the enemy, creating an atmosphere of being prepared for danger in times of peace; the third movement, "Drum beats to shake the power of heaven, soldiers return in triumph", has heavy drum beats and fluctuating rhythms, welcoming the soldiers back, creating an atmosphere of cheering and celebrating victory, and a warm scene; the fourth movement, "Praise the setting sun, the country is peaceful and the people live in peace", has steady drum beats and beautiful rhythm, creating an atmosphere of war stopping, peace coming, people living and working in peace, and a peaceful and prosperous era. Its costumes and props include four basic drum types: general, general, school, and soldier. The Zanyang gongs and drums are simple, majestic, powerful, and warm. They give full play to the various drumming techniques such as hitting the drum edge, hitting the drum heart, hitting the drum gang, hitting the drum cavity, rubbing the drumstick, grinding the drum nails, and covering the drum, making the drum beats varied and just right. There is one 150cm handsome drum, two 100cm general drums, one 100cm wind gong, four medium tiger gongs, four high tiger gongs, two copy gongs, six pairs of Dajing hairpins, six pairs of Hanchuan gongs, six pairs of Henan Chuan gongs, eight pairs of splints, 10 horse bells, two suonas, eight horns, and 36 military flags. There are 120 performers. During the drill, soldiers holding swords, guns, and shields shouted and danced, and barefoot people in simple ancient costumes danced, making the gongs and drums relaxed and tense. The grand scene and the magnificent momentum are breathtaking. (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.) (No pictures yet, welcome to provide.)
