Baotianman is located in the deep mountains in the north of Xiaguan, Neixiang County, at the southern foot of the 800-li Funiu Mountain. Here, the forests cover the sun, the mountains are winding, the clouds are surrounded by mist, and the peaks are majestic. The altitude is 1,840 meters. Climbing up and looking far away, it makes people feel like they are in a fairyland, forgetting all the honors and disgraces. The "Legend of Baotianman" begins with the loyal love of Dabao and Manzhu. Dabao and Manzhu were childhood sweethearts. Although their identities were very different, they became a couple after a long time and after a hard and tortuous life. The couple took the mountains as their home and the peaks as their companions. They planted trees, flowers, and took care of birds and animals here all year round, turning Baotianman into a fairyland on earth. In order to commemorate this couple who benefited the people and loved each other, later generations combined their names and named this beautiful landscape "Baotianman", which has been passed down and used to this day. "Legend of Baotianman" takes the scenery of Baotianman as the material, and integrates the strange peaks locked in smoke, the exotic flowers surrounded by green, the ancient forests of thousands of hectares, and the beautiful waterfalls into the beautiful legend. The story content is plain, the plot is touching, and it has a distinct local style. From the moving "Legend of Yuzanggou", the fascinating "Paomaling Nostalgia", the honest "Wild Goose Bringing Letters" to the "Girl's Building" and "Cornus and Thunder Cliff" that show the simplicity and kindness of the working people, the "Legend of Baotianman" has laid a deep cultural foundation. Its simple, natural, sincere and interesting legends symbolize the broad mind of the people of Neixiang to protect the environment, love labor, and coexist harmoniously with nature. It has a very high ideological, artistic and positive educational significance. At the same time, it also enriches the cultural connotation of Baotianman tourist attractions, and has played a great role in building the Baotianman brand and improving the popularity of Neixiang.
