🎧  Listen to Introduction

Mashan Zhuang shoulder pole dance mainly reflects the main labor process of Zhuang people from planting to harvesting. When beating, each person holds a shoulder pole and simulates labor movements, such as up and down, left and right, standing and squatting, turning and jumping, and moving forward on the spot, etc., hitting each other, sometimes accompanied by shouting "keke". The scene is compact and the atmosphere is warm, which has the function of strengthening the body and entertainment. Mashan Zhuang shoulder pole dance was included in the list of intangible cultural heritage of Guangxi in 2010. It is known as "the flower of Guangxi folk dance". It has been reported to the representatives of the 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in Beijing.
