The Lingfeng Temple's 15th day of the first lunar month temple fair is the only grand temple fair in Santai County that is spontaneously organized by the public and is a combination of a temple fair and an agricultural tool exchange fair. There are also Guanyin temple fairs on February 19th, June 19th, and September 19th. Once the fair arrives, believers and the public from this area and neighboring counties come to participate in the temple fair. There are so many tourists that the roads are blocked. People come to the temple in groups or individually to worship and pray for blessings and peace. Historical evolution and value: According to the existing inscriptions on the bell tower, it had become a Buddhist resort in the Tang and Song dynasties, a place for religious activities that combined Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. It was famous for the grandeur of its halls and temples and the beauty of its mountains, rivers, forests and springs. It is said that the huge stone plaque with the words "Western Paradise" on the mountain gate was written by the eminent monk Xuanzang in the Tang Dynasty. The well-preserved Sleeping Immortal Cave was built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. It was the secluded place of Chen Chuan, a great philosopher and health practitioner in the Five Dynasties and early Song Dynasty. It is a unique temple monument. The stone tablet with the words "Standing Statue of Avalokitesvara" written by the Tang Dynasty painter Wu Daozi is a rare cultural relic in the temple. Lingfeng Temple was opened as a Buddhist activity site in 1999. The existing and repaired Daxiong Hall, Seven Buddha Hall, Dabei Hall, Dafo Hall, Guanyin Hall, Zangche Hall, Songzi Hall, Ksitigarbha Hall, Tianwang Hall, Foguo Pavilion, Baoding, Posou Pavilion, ancient pagoda and other halls and pavilions are close to the mountains and rivers, scattered and magnificent. The temple group is built on a state-owned public mountain of more than 400 mu. The forest is lush and ethereal, attracting a large number of people from a radius of 100 miles, good men and women to come to the mountain to worship Buddha or sightseeing.
