"Youci" is a folk activity that integrates culture, sports and games that is popular among the Korean people. Throwing "Youci" is also called "throwing beer" and has a history of more than 2,000 years. "Youci" is a unique folk game of the Korean ethnic group that has been passed down since before the Three Kingdoms period. It is usually held from the first day of the first lunar month to the Lantern Festival. Historical data show that in the Buyeo era, five kinds of livestock were divided into five tribes. In order to make these livestock reproduce more, people invented this game. In the early days, the purpose of throwing Youci during festivals such as the Spring Festival and the Lantern Festival was to predict the good and bad fortune of the year and the good and bad harvest of farming. "Moon Youci" is one of them. After the moon rises in the sky on the night of the Lantern Festival, a bowl of water is scooped from the dining table, and the people perform a ceremony together and throw "Moon Youci". The method of "Moon Youci" is to throw a bowl of water on the surface of a copper coin. Write the words "moon, fire, water, wood, gold, earth, and sun", which represent the stars in the sky. The ancients believed that the stars dominated the good and bad fortune of life and the prosperity of farming, so they worshipped the stars. The current "Yutz" rules do not have the names of domestic animals, and the game is played according to the number of points. People who play Yutz will dance for joy when they throw more points or "catch" the opponent's chess pieces, and the atmosphere of the Yutz game will reach 0. Yutz is a game in which two people or two groups compete to win. To play this game, you need three things: dice, chips, and horse maps. There are two types of dice: wooden dice and chestnut dice. Wooden dice are made by splitting two small wooden pieces of equal length into two halves to make four dice. Small wooden dice are generally made of thorns or willow branches, about 4 to 5 cm long. Large Wooden dice are made of thicker willow branches, about 30 to 40 cm long. Chestnut dice are made of wood blocks or kidney beans about 2 cm long. Dice made of kidney beans are also called kidney bean dice, and a cross is engraved on one side of each of the four kidney beans. Which type of dice is used varies depending on the competition occasion. If there are only a few people competing, chestnut dice or small wooden dice are generally used; if a team competition is held or a moon dice is thrown on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, a large wooden dice is used. "Yuts" is simple to play, highly interesting, and highly competitive. Men, women, young and old can participate. It is not limited to the number of people and can be played individually or in groups. It is the most unique type of Korean folk game and a traditional competitive sports and entertainment activity widely circulated among the Korean ethnic group in my country. In the past, the Yuts game was only played from the end of the year to the beginning of the first lunar month, but now it has become a widespread mass competition. As folk wisdom, the "Yuts" game was formed by the Korean people through continuous processing on the basis of traditional culture. It has strong local characteristics and life atmosphere, can meet the requirements of people of different ages, genders and personalities, and is deeply loved by the masses. The "Yuts" game has been inherited and developed by generations, and has accumulated rich cultural heritage. At the same time, it also contains rich national wisdom and national concepts, and has become an important part of my country's excellent folk culture.
